How Google Gemini is changing our relationship with YouTube (ft. Jack Krawczyk)
An intro to Google Gemini's new integration (previously Bard) as well as an interview with Jack Krawczyk who is responsible for the development of Bard globally
Jules Terpak: So, I'm scrolling through Twitter the other day and I come across this tweet from Jack Krawczyk saying that Bard, aka Google's version of OpenAI's ChatGPT can now help with understanding YouTube videos.
For example, let's say a video shows how someone makes their special olive oil cake, but you're only curious about one ingredient, which is how many eggs the recipe requires. Okay, ask Bard like you would ask any good baker in your life. Get your answer immediately and then be on your merry way.
This update allows for deeper engagement with YouTube videos and has the potential to drastically change how we approach the platform. So I ran to Twitter’s search bar and typed in “Bard” and “YouTube” to see if anyone else was talking about this. Because, again, it's wild. And the conversation was minimal, but I did come across these two examples:
